Overall a lovely fine copy. Cipriani (1727–1785) was an important Italian painter and engraver, the first exponent of Neoclassicism in England, and played a major role in shaping 18th-century English artistic taste. He engraved 25 fine views of Greece from various sources, presented in a distinctive oval format, as though seen through a mirror. The publication was completed after his death and was rare even in its own time. References: Blackmer 390, not in Atabey
