GREECE, IRAKLIO (CANDIA). A very rare copper engraved view, representing the city during the Ottoman attack in the late 1660s, published in Paris slightly later, the real representation is obviously taken from a French ship (French fleet assisted the Venetians in 1668/69), one of the few views of Iraklio as it was before the Turkish conquest, fine contemporary colors, mint condition.
