LONDON 1825 FIRST EDITION, in 8vo, modern cloth over contemporary boards rubbed, large uncut copy,, complete 175p., lithographed frontis of Athens from a drawing from Harding and the folding facsimile of a letter in Greek,very few scattered light spotting in some pages, mostly in title page and frontis, text clean and bright,ex libris of Geoffrey Bond and Burgage Manor at front past down overall in very good condition, a nice provenance A cornerstone of Philhellenic literature. It contains some of the earliest first hand accounts of Lord Byron death in Messolongi. I825 was a critical year for the Revolution with the invasion in Morea by Ibrahim s Egyptians.
