This scientific publication is the first systematic attempt to reconcile the ancient texts with the visible ruins poking through the dirt of the village. He spent immense effort transcribing inscriptions and documented the site. With this monumental work proved that the site of Kastri was, beyond a doubt, the ancient Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi. A cornerstone publication for the Greek archaeology. It has been published by the official French Imprimerie Imperiale, as an excellent scientific study.
