Second edition of of one from the very first classical tour in Greece. In small 8vo, contemporary full vellum slightly soiled, manuscript title on spine, complete title, [6],481p.[2], text clean, some light scattered spotting in few pages, overall very good. The first three of the company came from Rouen, stochove from Flandres and all four set out for the Levant in 1630 remaining there for two years, exploring in some detail the Greek islands and the cost of Asia Minor. This edition is Rouen edition by Antoine Maurry. Although all names are inscribed on title, as three different accounts have been published with all names, seems that this particular account is by Fermanel. A very detailed and early account on Greece. Blackmer 115 (an other account from the same party),not in Atabey. Scarce
