This extremely rare Atlas of the work of Billotti on Rhodes has been published separately from his text in Rhodes in 1882. It is titled Album Rhodien and include a lot of visual material for the island of Rhodes. Billotti was a native of Rhodes,his family was of Toscan origin but lived in the island for generations,he became the British consul but wrote in French and he conducted the first excavations in Rhodes. Many of the illustrations included in this Atlas volume are inscriptions, coins and tombs found at his excavations and most of the armories of the Knights period have been located and drawn by him. Very rare publication.
