He returned in 1825 and became war correspondent of The Times. He fought in a naval action under Miaoulis and at the battle of Lerna under Makriyannis, where Makriyannis defeated the Egyptians. A strong Philhellenic work. The American edition is the rarest and played an important role in raising additional funds for Howe projects in Greece.
