In 8vo (21 x 14 cm), pp. 271 + 318. Contemporary fine half calf leather over boards. Text clean and bright. A fine, lovely copy. Juchereau was a military instructor in Constantinople. In his work, he describes in detail the revolutions of the Janissaries and the social turmoil of the Ottoman multinational society in the early 19th century.
