Allgemeine Zeitung 5th of October 1822 Numerous letters confirm the Greek victories in the Morea and Livadeia. Odysseas Androutsos, following his successes in the region, is stationed above the Spercheios river at Thermopylae. Khurshid Pasha, with 2,000 men, is heading toward Tyrnavos to join forces with 3,000 Albanians. The Albanians agreed to this alliance on the condition that they would never be sent to the Peloponnese. It is highly probable that the Albanians feared the revolutionaries of the Morea. It is rumored that the Kapudan Pasha has died of the plague.
