Gazette De France 31st of January 1824 A letter from the Sultan to the new Grand Vizier, Galib Pasha, highlights his views on the Greek Revolution and many other issues of the Ottoman Empire. The Sultan believes that the revolution in the Morea has not yet ended because those responsible for its suppression lack sufficient zeal for their task. Thus, the Sultan assigns the responsibility to the Grand Vizier and advises him to take the necessary measures, by land and sea, so that the fortresses and cities held by the Greeks are surrendered.
